Prophecy teachers typically focus on the unimaginable scale of the slaughter when Gog of Magog is destroyed. The phrase “block the travelers” in Ezekiel 39:11 is usually taken to mean that “the Valley of the Travelers, east of the [Dead] sea,” is choked with corpses. This interpretation misses the spiritual context. Ezekiel’s prophecy actually describes an army that’s possessed by the demonic spirits of the Rephaim, the semi-divine children of Shemihazah/Saturn and his co-conspirators.
