I’m not surprised

The disclosure by Project Veritas that Twitter exercises a “shadow ban” on conservative comments isn’t surprising. As we’re learning from James Damore’s lawsuit against Google, the prevailing worldview in the tech world is flamingly liberal.

Remember, social media sites are not public utilities. Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have no obligation to allow you, me, or the president of the United States to post anything we want. They aren’t there to facilitate free speech.

They aren’t there to make a profit, either, since it’s obvious they put goodthink ahead of business. A Google manager’s warning to conservatives inside the company:

I will never, ever hire/transfer you onto my team. Ever. I don’t care if you are perfect fit or technically excellent or whatever. I will actively not work with you, even to the point where your team or product is impacted by this decision.

The bias will always be there. Conservatives, we just need to create viable alternatives to progressive gatekeepers.
