What about the bikini competition, pastor?

Carrie Prejean, California’s representative in the recent Miss USA pageant, has emerged as an unlikely hero of conservative Christians. She’s the young lady who probably lost the Miss USA crown because of her politically incorrect answer to a question about gay marriage.

Lost in this rush from the right to defend Miss Prejean is a very basic question: what exactly is a young Christian woman doing in a contest in which she’s judged on how well she fills out a bikini?
