Newsweek ran a hit piece on Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul after the most recent debate, labeling him a conspiracy theorist for believing in a behind-the-scenes effort to create a NAFTA Superhighway. The author of the piece should have done a little homework.
The NAFTA superhighway has been featured at an official Canadian government website “for five years or more,” according to a spokesman for the Alberta Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation.

Since anyone with a modem can find this information, the question is why Newsweek chose to prevaricate. Cui bono?
