The young guys at the office seem to think that a week away from one’s wife is a vacation. The older guys I used to work with would agree.
Feh. Being away from Sharon this week has made it feel like a month.
I’m glad she was able to spend several days visiting with her mother, who’s 83 and growing frail. The more time we can spend back there, the better.
But the next time Sharon goes to visit, I’m going with her. We live together and work together, but God has blessed us with a desire to be around each other as often as possible. After nearly ten years of marriage, that’s a good sign.
She’s my best friend and life’s not complete when she’s not here. Thank God she’s coming home tomorrow!
