The state legislature in California has lost its collective mind. A couple of weeks ago, it passes a resolution supporting the May Day march of the illegals. Now it seeks to reprogram students about the nature of their home lives:
THE California state Senate today passed a bill that removes sex-specific terms such as “mom” and “dad” from textbooks and requires students to learn about the contributions homosexuals have made to society.
The bill, approved 22-15, would prevent textbooks, teaching materials, instruction and “school-sponsored activities” from reflecting adversely on anyone based on sexual orientation or actual or perceived gender.
Look, promoting tolerance (note: tolerance, not acceptance) is a good thing. Christians are nowhere taught to bludgeon those who disagree, physically, verbally, or otherwise.
But teaching children that terms like “mom” and “dad” are gender-specific and thus “bad” is absolutely a sign of mental illness.
