A Call For Arms

You read that right — for arms, not to arms.

Over the last four games, Cubs pitchers surrendered 34 runs to Milwaukee and Pittsburgh (and that includes a 2-1 victory), two teams not expected to contend for anything more than respectability this year.

In addition, the Cubs’ offense produced only 2 runs over the last three games. If not for rookie Sean Marshall’s brilliant outing Monday, the Cubs would have been swept by the 8-20 Pirates.

Even so, Mark Prior, come quickly!
