“Not a Big Deal”, But Too Bad

Some of the most creative movie sets in history have gone up in flames:

Props and sets from the Wallace and Gromit films have been destroyed in a warehouse blaze.

The storage building belonging to Oscar-winning Aardman Animations, contained the company’s “entire history”, a spokesman said. Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park said it was “dreadful” for the company but comparatively “not a big deal”.

The three Wallace & Gromit animated films have to be among our top 15 or 20 all-time favorite movies. Nick Park could show some big-time directors a thing or two about mood, tension, and storytelling.
