CAFTA was rammed through Congress on a 217-215 vote last night just after midnight. Sadly, our congressman, Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.), was one of those who’d been leaning toward a “yes” vote.
Creating supranational organizations that can dictate law in the countries that are parties to the agreement is a bad idea. NAFTA has already done this; three-judge tribunals set up under NAFTA can overrule legal judgments handed down by courts in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. CAFTA expands this to include most of the Caribbean nations.
Make no mistake, this is the next step down a path charted by globalists to fold everything from Ellesmere Island to Cape Horn into a new American Union superstate.
