Typical Day in St. Louis

A couple of explosions sent fire and smoke into the sky at the Praxair plant in South City. No one was hurt, thank God, but you wouldn’t guess by the photo.

The firemen who were called had to deal with 97-degree temperatures in addition to the heat from the fire. Despite the presence of a tank of chlorine at the plant, monitors haven’t picked up anything toxic.

Truly a miracle.
