Albert Pujols, describing his sixth-inning hit off Roger Clemens:

“He made a good pitch, so I thank the Lord my hands came through. It’s such a thrill to play against the best pitcher in baseball the last 20 years. It doesn’t get any better. I know I was the MVP, but the trophy is staying here in the clubhouse. Everyone is an MVP on our team. There’s no one hero in here.”

The series MVP thanking God? Thanking his teammates? Complimenting his opponents?

Albert Pujols is the Anti-Leon.
