Kerry: GOP to Suppress Black Votes

He’s clutching at straws:

WASHINGTON (AP) – John Kerry suggested Saturday night that Republicans may try to keep black voters from casting their ballots to help President Bush win in November. “We are not going to stand by and allow another million African American votes to go uncounted in this election,” the Democratic presidential nominee told the Congressional Black Caucus.

Suppressing votes? Republicans?

John? Ever hear of a guy in Chicago named Richard J. Daley? Democrat? Mayor there for a real long time? (You know Chicago, John. It’s that toddlin’ town where, except for Harold Washington twenty years ago, white Democrats keep getting elected mayor–even though “minorities” are the “majority” of Democrat voters. Why is that?)

Remember how John F. Kennedy got elected in 1960? When a bunch of Republican votes were “suppressed” in Chicago? (Because when Sam Giancana wanted something “suppressed”, it was suppressed with extreme prejudice.)

And in 2000, remember how Democrats in Saint Louis kept the polls open long past 7:00 p.m., which might have cost John Ashcroft his seat in the Senate to a dead man? (Of course, that made Ashcroft available to become Attorney General–BWAH-hahahahaha! Sorry, couldn’t help it.)

Do you remember those things, John? You do?

Then how do you say such things with a straight face?
