The former Secretary of the Navy has no idea how his signature got on John Kerry’s Silver Star citation:
“It is a total mystery to me. I never saw it. I never signed it. I never approved it. And the additional language it contains was not written by me,” [John Lehman] said.
The additional language varied from the two previous citations, signed first by Adm. Elmo Zumwalt and then Adm. John Hyland, which themselves differ. The new material added in the Lehman citation reads in part: “By his brave actions, bold initiative, and unwavering devotion to duty, Lieutenant (jg) Kerry reflected great credit upon himself….”
Either Mr. Kerry is too stupid or too egocentric to understand that stuff like this disqualifies you for public office in the minds of a great many Americans. Maybe not in Massachusetts, but out here in Missouri, anyway.
All right, maybe not in the actual city of Saint Louis, but out here in the county for sure.
My point is that Kerry, one of his advisors, or someone in the Democratic Party should have seen this coming. The “total mystery” is that John Kerry is the party’s nominee for president.
You know, aside from Bill Clinton, who was a bad president but a great candidate, the Democrats haven’t nominated anybody worth voting for since the real JFK.
