Do You Sense a Pattern?

The Producer Price Index figures for the last two months have yet to be released:

Outdated computers are partly to blame for the delayed release of the U.S. producer price index and only ‘God knows when’ the data will be ready, a top analyst at the Bureau of Labor Statistics said on Monday.

The fact that the PPI can reflect inflationary pressures earlier than the Consumer Price Index wouldn’t have anything to do with it, I’m sure.
