The icy weather in St. Louis kept me home today. It wasn’t nearly as bad as predicted; most of the heavy snow veered east into Kentucky and missed the metro area. But the Distracto-daughter’s school canceled classes today, leaving me as the emergency backup parent, since Sharon is in Indianapolis to promote her book.
I worked from home today. It’s amazing what you can do with an Internet connection and a couple of phone lines. We swapped electrons with Singapore, Malaysia, England, Korea, and a whole bunch of Murricans. And I did it while scratching dogs in between sending out the price quotes. That’s great for stress. How can you be bothered about a late delivery with a fluffy white dog in your lap?
