Maureen Dowd of the New York Times needs to get out more:
Can you believe President Bush is still pushing the cockamamie claim that we went to war in Iraq with a real coalition rather than a gaggle of poodles and lackeys?
I suspect the Poles, Koreans, Japanese, Australians, Brits, Bulgarians, and Spanish, among others, are surprised to learn that those sovereign nations are accepting poodles into their armed forces. (Target practice, maybe?)
Ms. Dowd’s smarmy, mocking style has grown old. It worked better during the Clinton years. His caddish behavior was suited to her acid. Against Bush, she just comes off as an ill-informed harpy.
