City officials in Wentzville were disturbed by the adult content, which included a couple of sexually explicit scenes–mock mutilation of male genitals, among others. Since many of the actors in the haunted house are minors, the city insisted that the operator tone down a couple of the exhibits and get an adult entertainment permit.
One of the performers protested, “They’ve completely violated our right to free expression.”
No, kid. Protected speech does not include simulated sexual acts performed by or in the presence of minors. At least not in Missouri, not yet.
And what kind of parent lets his kid participate in a performance like this?
