Robert Novak addresses the CIA leak in his latest column. Looks like much ado about nothing.
Unless Novak is lying, Joseph Wilson and the Democratic Party are trying to use this as a knife to hamstring the Bush Administration.
But as I wrote earlier, I just don’t think this issue will get much attention out here in the heartland. The only way to explain it simply enough to hold the attention of Joe Average is by leaving out so many details that it basically becomes untrue, or at the very least misleading (i.e., “Somebody at the White House blew the cover of a CIA agent”).
Explain the whole story, and only the political junkies will listen long enough to care.
