Outing Arafat

Here’s another interesting bit of Yasser Arafat’s history. Ion Mihai Pacepa, former head of Romanian intelligence, wrote a book called “Red Horizons” in 1987. WorldNetDaily’s Joseph Farah quoted an excerpt from the book in his column Monday, which seems to have slipped under the radar:

“‘I just called the microphone monitoring center to ask about the ‘Fedayee,” Arafat’s code name, explained [Gen. Constantin] Munteaunu. ‘After the meeting with the Comrade, he went directly to the guest house and had dinner. At this very moment, the ‘Fedayee’ is in his bedroom making love to his bodyguard. The one I knew was his latest lover. He’s playing tiger again. The officer monitoring his microphones connected me live with the bedroom, and the squawling almost broke my eardrums. Arafat was roaring like a tiger, and his lover yelping like a hyena.'”

I was stunned when I read this in Farah’s column Monday. I waited all week to see if anyone had noticed, and I haven’t seen a single reference to the piece anywhere. I have to wonder: Given what Islam teaches about homosexuality, what would Arafat’s true and faithful followers think if they knew?
