The Fur Flies
Animal rights activists are celebrating the release 10,000 minks from a farm in southern Washington. Hundreds of the animals not yet captured have converged on local farms in search of food. The little buggers have killed at least 25 exotic birds and attacked other livestock in the area.

A veterinarian in charge of a local animal rights group actually said, “The amount of suffering that has been prevented by releasing them from cramped cages and freeing them from an extremely cruel death more than justifies a temporary disruption to the ecosystem.” Uh huh. So in their minds it’s okay that these minks have put dozens of pet birds and at least one pet dog through suffering and extremely cruel deaths.

Other activists have said that the incidents only prove that the minks can survive in the wild. Yeah, as long as they have access to chicken farms and bags of bird seed.

What idiots.
