California, Here I…Oh, Never Mind
Score another victory for diversity!

The California state legislature has passed a bill that could fine businesses, including religious bookstores and the Boy Scouts, up to $150,000 if they “refuse to hire or rent to a cross-dresser, a transsexual or a drag queen,” according to the Campaign for California Families, a group that opposed the legislation.

It will be interesting to see whether Governor Gray Davis signs the bill in light of his upcoming recall election.
