A little news item that might have slipped by last week: Patricia Ireland, the former president of NOW, has been named Chief Executive by the YWCA. That was good for a spit-take over my breakfast cereal.
Why, you ask? Well, Y.W.C.A., you probably know, stands for the Young Women’s Christian Association. Patricia Ireland, in case you didn’t know, stands for radical feminism, including legalized abortion in all its hideous forms. In fact, the YWCA has announced that it’s relocating its headquarters from New York to Washington, D.C., to accomodate its new, activist political agenda.
Ireland, an admitted bisexual, is one of the last people I would have expected to see running a so-called “Christian” organization. But I guess it’s in keeping with our time, a time that was prophesied two thousand years ago, the great Falling Away.
A time when someone who refuses to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior–she dodged the question on “The O’Reilly Factor” like a batter diving away from an inside fastball–is named the leader of an organization founded in His name.
