Spent Friday and Saturday at the WorldView Weekend here in St. Louis. Well worth the ticket price. It was a wakeup call to the faithful, reminding us that the threat posed to Christianity by naturalist and humanist world views is very real, especially considering that many nominal Christians buy in to some of the basic tenets of these incompatible world views.
For example, how can a Christian tell a non-believer–with a straight face–that we are all sinners, lost and in need of salvation, while at the same time agreeing that the universe is billions of years old and that humans are the product of millions of years of evolution?
I know, I know, how can an intelligent, college-educate guy seriously consider the concept of an Earth that’s only thousands of years old, instead of billions? Easy–the evidence fits.
Truthfully, believing in evolution is a bigger leap of faith than accepting a Creator. See Answers in Genesis for more information.
