Just a few short hours until the madness begins. NaNoWriMo officially kicks off at midnight tonight. I suspect Sharon will stay up and get started on her novel. Since I get up at 5:00 to let out the dogs, check e-mail, and make coffee before work, I will have to wait until later. Maybe I can get a few lines down after breakfast.
If tomorrow is as quiet at the office as it’s been so far today, I can probably sneak in some more work late in the afternoon. I plan to make good use of my Yahoo web storage.
I went to lunch with our youth pastor and another friend yesterday, and we had a really good conversation. It’s stunning how far some of the so-called “mainstream” Christian denominations have drifted from the faith. If you don’t accept the words of Jesus as absolute truth, what god are you worshipping?
In other words, if you pick and choose the parts of the Bible you want to believe, creating a sort of cafeteria-style Christianity, all you’re doing is trying to create a god in your own image. And that, my friend, is how you define heresy.
